2015年6月—12月间，内蒙古文物考古研究所会同锡林郭勒盟文物站、多伦县文物局对锡林郭勒盟多伦县蔡木山乡铁公泡子村小王力沟辽代墓葬进行了抢救性发掘，共清理辽代大型墓葬两座（编号M1、M2），取得了重大收获。
