记者20日从西安市文物保护考古研究院获悉，考古人员在当地发掘了隋代秦州刺史韦协墓，墓中残存珍贵壁画。此次发掘为研究隋代关中地区墓葬形制提供资料，也为完善京兆韦氏的谱系提供了佐证。
据了解，这座墓葬位于西安市长安区神禾大道北侧。壁画存于天井及墓室北壁下部、西壁南角和东壁南角。天井壁画绘有列戟、仪仗图，墓室壁画主要为内侍、侍女等人物。
