禁山早期越窑遗址位于绍兴市上虞区上浦镇大善村北的禁山南麓，其所处的上虞曹娥江中下游地区，不仅是成熟青瓷的起源地，同时也是汉六朝成熟青瓷窑址的最重要分布区，代表了成熟青瓷发展史上的第一个高峰。
