7月7日，为期15天的头屯河楼庄子古墓群抢救性考古挖掘工作顺利结束。此次挖掘，共出土有价值文物20余件，根据墓葬形状结合同类遗存，推测其年代约为东周至秦汉时期，距今约2000年左右。此次考古挖掘由新疆考古研究所、昌吉州、市文物局共同进行。
